Abstract
The article explores the arrest of the Greek generals after the Battle of Cunaxa in "Anabasis" by the Greek soldier and writer Xenophon. It counters the claim that the Greeks plundered Persian territory which resulted in the arrest of the generals. It examines the specific terms of the treaty proposed by the Persian soldier and statesman Tissaphernes to the Greeks.
