Abstract
The article shares insight on the precision of the methods for constructing confidence intervals for psychometric tests. Topics discussed are different ways to estimate reliability including constructing a twin of the original test, test-retest reliability, simplified version of alternate forms reliability and interrater reliability, the use of standard error of measurement, factors that influence the consistency of test scores, and the need to sum potential sources of measurement error.
