Abstract
The article focuses on the U.S. government's renewed focus on disease prevention by partnering with employers, schools, community-based organizations, and public health agencies. Topics discussed include the financial benefit of shifting the focus towards prevention, and some evidence showing that conducting health screenings in the workplace ultimately lead to improvements in established cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors and maintenance of cardiovascular health.
