Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the influence of weight gain or loss on health care costs among employees at Johnson & Johnson Co. in the U.S. Employees completing at least two health risk assessments during 2002 to 2008 were the subject of the longitudinal cohort study. Findings of the study revealed the significance of preventing weight gain through effective employee health promotion programs as it is likely to result in cost savings for emlpoyers.
