Abstract
The article reports on a study regarding the importance of post-translational modification by neddylation in postnatal brain development, particularly to synapse maturation and stability, as well as cognition. It discusses a study by Vogl and colleagues in the February 2015 issue of the journal "Nature Neuroscience," which elegantly show that neddylation, a post-translational protein modification that is critical for regulating dendritic spine maturation and synapse maintenance.
