Abstract
The article presents a study on the determinants of female genital fistula repair surgery outcomes after three months. Using a multicountry prospective cohort study between 2007 and 2010, three-months postsurgery outcomes identified include fistula closure and residual incontinence in women. It concludes that preoperative bladder size, previous repair, vaginal scarring, and urethral involvement are related to genital fistula closure.
