Abstract
Information about several papers discussed at a meeting entitled "Mouse Genetics 2011," organized by the Genetics Society of America held in Washington, D.C. Is presented. Topics include the Verne Chapman Lecture, a keynote speech entitled "Mickey, Mendel, and the Medical Magic of Mouse Genetics," and the interface of human genetics and mouse models. It features Francis S. Collins, the U.S. National Institute of Health director, who delivers the keynote address.
