Abstract
Erosive hand osteoarthritis (EHOA) is an aggressive type of hand osteoarthritis (OA) defined radiographically by subchondral erosion, cortical destruction, and subsequent reparative changes, which may include bony ankylosis. EHOA occurs suddenly and is characterized by more severe arthritis symptoms and inflammation than hand OA. Etanercept in patients with inflammatory hand osteoarthritis (EHOA): A multicentre, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. [Extracted from the article]
