Abstract
The article presents the discussion on significant evidence exists that supports a range of interventions to improve diabetes outcomes. Topics include diabetes is a complex, chronic condition requiring continuous medical care with multifactorial risk-reduction strategies beyond glycemic management; and provide comprehensive management plans for conditions that require specialized care, such as mental illness.
