Abstract
This document is a summary of a special collection of papers presented at the Korea-Japan Joint Conference on the Geochemical and Cosmochemical Applications of Microanalysis. The papers discuss various advancements in microanalytical techniques for earth and planetary sciences. Topics covered include dating of Quaternary zircons, microstructural analysis of zircons, observations of Asian and Saharan dust particles, isotopic variations in planetary materials, a new compact magnetic separator, nanoscale analysis of noble gases, chemical analysis of lunar zirconolites, precision of Pb isotopic dating, determination of elemental abundances, development of a new standard material for meteorite zircons, and non-destructive isotope analysis using a negative muon beam. These developments have the potential to improve analytical data and contribute to the advancement of geochemistry and cosmochemistry. [Extracted from the article]
