Abstract
The article discusses the case of inflammation and cytopenia in a 40-day-old male infant with severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Among the symptoms presented by the patient are high temperature and constipation. It cites the recommendations of the infectious diseases team due to his low absolute neutrophil count (ANC) and possible coinfection. It suggests minimal laboratory monitoring in the setting of polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-confirmed infantile SARS-CoV-2.
