Abstract
Identifying gaps in expertise and opportunities for collaboration are key to ensuring that the CCC has the appropriate representation relevant to the entire continuum of patient care and coma science. Outreach to collaborative groups, such as the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, has borne initial fruit in the form of CDEs, the first Curing Coma NIH Symposium (the proceedings of which are also published in this issue of I Neurocritical Care i ), and planning for the second Curing Coma NIH Symposium.
