Abstract
The article presents a report which describes surveillance of typhoid fever cases, estimates of incidence in countries derived from population-based studies since 2016 and the status of the introduction of typhoid conjugate vaccine during 2018-2022. Topics covered include the prevalence of antimicrobial resistance during 2010-2018, data on the safety and effectiveness of typhoid conjugate vaccine, and lessons learned about vaccine introduction strategies and campaign opportunities.
