Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the insurance coverage and disease awareness of non-elderly patients with kidney disease with respect to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) policies in the U.S. The results include the increase in Medicaid/Children's Health Insurance Program coverage with ACA, the low awareness of kidney disease and the role of Medicaid providers in identifying minorities with kidney disease and improving disease awareness.
