Abstract
The article presents the discussion on mitigating the impact of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Caribbean Community: Topics include countries facing unprecedented health, social and economic challenges due to the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic; and resonated with Caribbean populations well used to such public advisories during the passage of tropical storms in the hurricane season.
