This column delves into the impact that representation holds in shaping a student's perception of their ability to be successful. To combat the homogeneity of representation in standard statistics content, the author created and maintains the CURV – connecting, uplifting, and recognizing voices – to introduce students to scholars to whom they can relate. Through a weekly activity of Statistician of the Day the author introduces students to scholars who are traditionally underrepresented in statistics and data science.
