Abstract
The article presents the discussion on findings of a study conducted by a team of US researchers. Topics include focused on investigating the role of carotenoids, specifically lutein and zeaxanthin, in supporting female health and reducing the incidence of age-srelated diseases; and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and specific forms of dementia, which affect women to a greater extent than men of similar age.
