Abstract
The article discusses the community quarantine effected in Mawah, a village in Liberia where a growing outbreak of Ebola virus disease (Ebola) has been reported in September 2014. It presents the quarantine measures proposed by the Task Force chair (TFC) including restrictions on residents and nonresidents, regulation of local river crossings and closure of 2 local markets. It outlines what is known about quarantine, what is added by the report, and the implications for public health practice.
