Abstract
A novel heteroleptic cyclometalated iridium(III) complexwith onepicolinic acid derivative bearing a pendant terminal alkynyl tetherhas been prepared following a new synthetic route. This pendant alkynyltether can be further engaged in palladium CâC coupling reactions,allowing its grafting to a Keggin-type polyoxometalate and thus providinga unique iridio-POM conjugate.
