Abstract
Objective: To investigate the protective effect of Icaritin on GOP-induced side effects in mice. Methods: SPF ICR mice were used as experimental animals. The experimental drugs were divided into three dosage groups: IT-L, IT-M and IT-H. They were administered with 2.5 mg/kg, 5 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg respectively. The mice outside the blank group were given GOP by gavage for 2 weeks and then intraperitoneally injected with corresponding drugs for 3 weeks. Rod rotation time, blood routine, ALT, thymus index and spleen index were measured after administration. Results: Compared with the model group, the rotation time of IT-H group was significantly prolonged; the levels of leukocyte, neutrophil, platelet and erythrocyte were significantly increased in IT-Z group and IT-H group; IT-H could significantly reduce the ALT value induced by GOP; IT-H could significantly increase thymus index. Conclusion: Icaritin can significantly improve the side effects induced by GOP in mice, and has anti-fatigue and immune enhancement effects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
