Abstract

Older patients' ability to tolerate and complete treatment must be carefully evaluated to balance the impact of treatment with outcomes and the patients' life expectancy from other co-morbidities. Increased AHP support pre and post treatment (prehab and rehab interventions) may be of particular benefit to older patients,[5] helping to reduce patient numbers who require inpatient hospital management in the 12 months following radiotherapy.
