The article discusses research on whole genome sequencing of Mesorhizobium strains isolated from native legumes growing in two distant Low Arctic sites to understand the population genomics of rhizobia from northern Canada. The study measured the phylogenetic and average nucleotide identity of bacterial strains and analyzed legume nodulation and symbiotic nitrogen fixation on their chromosome. It describes the growth characteristics, taxonomy, genomic structures of three Mesorhizobium strains.
