Abstract
The dc operation of some laser diodes produces high-frequency amplitude modulation of the laser output in the GHz frequency range. This phenomenon provides a simple and inexpensive method for checking the sweep linearity of a fast-gated streak camera. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
