Abstract
The article focuses on the distance learning of students during the COVID-19 pandemic, as of January 2021. It highlights the role teachers and educators in supporting students in their education and learning in out-of-school environments. It presents suggestions given by educator Lisa Forehand on providing high-quality literacy instruction which include engagement with distance learning techniques, accessibility to literacy resources and time management.
