Abstract
The article focuses on the distribution of the progeryonid crab genus Paragalene which is represented with only one known species in the world, P. longicrura, in the Mediterranean sea. A distribution map of Paragalene longicrura in the Mediterranean Sea is presented together with the sampling area of the present study. The controversy regarding the taxonomic position of Paragalene is also emphasized.
