Abstract
The article reports on the use of the millisecond lasers for the treatment of lentigines that cause less postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Topics covered include why Q-switched (QS) lasers lead to PIH, erbium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Er:YAG) laser treatment regimes and the reason why the use of Er:YAG laser is not required in the treatment of lentigines.
