Abstract
The author explains how the solar panel can be used as a platform to help students explore the physics of electric circuits. He describes the circuit diagram of a Sharp 240-watt Multi-Purpose Module solar panel mounted on a horizontal pivot behind the central axis of the panel frame. He also discusses the solar module's conversion efficiency and notes experiments that provide opportunities for studying physical phenomena such as Kirchhoff's rules, concept of flux, and Ohm's law.
