Abstract
The article focuses on a research that aims to provide compelling experimental evidence that aerobic exercise can favorably modify arterial compliance in middle-aged and older adults. It also presents evidence showing that resistance training is potentially damaging to arterial compliance unless it is integrated with aerobic exercise. The authors described what is arterial compliance and its relation with aging. Findings revealed that arterial compliance progressively dropped as age increases and raises the risk of cardiovascular disease.
