Abstract
Information about the presentation by librarian Bob Gardner discussed during the 68th IFLA Council and General Conference held on August 18 to 24, 2002 in Glasgow, Scotland is presented. It offered methods on how to provide client needs assessment research, such as identifying the things needed to understand about the members' research and information needs. It outlined ways of getting critical information on Members' needs, expectations and service use.
