Abstract
The article discusses the writings of Swiss theologian, Karl Barth. Topics discussed include his commentary on Romans presented in the book "Epistle to the Romans;" relationship between the themes of the book and the present evangelicalism; and use of apophatic theology by Theologians such as Clement of Alexandria, Gregory of Nyssa, Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, and Maximus the Confessor on God's transcendence.
