Abstract
The article discusses the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) guidelines which describe contemporary drug information (DI) activities such as the application of a systematic approach, appropriate documentation methods and use of high-quality DI resources. Topics discussed include the DI activities which every pharmacist should have the skills to perform such as providing DI to patients, caregivers and health care professionals and participating in continuing education.
