Abstract
This document is a letter to the editor discussing a case of linear IgA dermatosis in a nonagenarian patient who was being treated with piperacillin-tazobactam. Linear IgA dermatosis is an autoimmune mucocutaneous disease that can occur in both adults and children. It is characterized by the presence of linear IgA deposits at the dermoepidermal junction. In this case, the patient developed skin lesions and mucosal involvement after receiving antibiotic therapy. The antibiotic was discontinued, and the patient was treated with corticosteroids and antihistamines, resulting in symptom resolution. The document emphasizes the importance of early recognition and discontinuation of the culprit drug in order to achieve a prompt recovery. [Extracted from the article]
