Abstract
The article discusses characteristics and clinical outcomes of adult patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Georgia, March 2020. It mentions that hospitalized cases were selected to describe patients with severe manifestations of COVID-19 that warranted inpatient management. It also mentions that most patients in the cohort were black, and black patients had a similar probability of receiving invasive mechanical ventilation or dying during hospitalization compared with nonblack patients.
