Abstract
The author discusses the necessity of neuroimaging in patients with migraine and chronic headaches and presents a study related to the same. Topics discussed include avoiding unnecessary testing, surgery and therapy to reduce health care costs, "evidence-based medicine" approach by bioengineer Dr David Eddy, and imaging and treatment guidelines such as neuroimaging, acute treatment of migraine, chronic treatment of migraine and non pharmacologic methods for migraine treatment.
