Abstract
This article focuses on a scoring system for Spraings Multiple Choice Bender Getsalt test (SMCBG). The SMCBG test was devised in order to aid the user of the widely used Bender-Gestalt test to have a more objective basis for making decisions relative to whether the testee has a problem in visual perception, visual motor coordination, or whether, indeed, there are aberrations in both areas. Weighting the alternatives of the items for their relative similarity to the original stimuli produces scores that are correlated more highly with the regular administration of the Bender-Gestalt test than are the scores produced by scoring each item as simply right or wrong.
