Abstract
The article discusses research which examined the prevalence of chronic kidney disease in people living with HIV in France using glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measurement by a gold standard method and GFR estimated with the CKD-EPI formula. Topics covered include the prevalence of proteinuria and albuminuria in patients, discordances between CKD-EPI and GFR measurement that were observed, and potential impact on mortality and cardiovascular events.
