Abstract
The article presents several case studies of patients ranging from 8 to 62 years old age with contact dermatitis caused by VEA lipogel, a cosmetic product which is a main cause of compound allergy. On patch testing the lipogel ingredients such as cyclopentasiloxane, tocopheryl acetate, hydrogenated castor oil, ethylhexyl palmitate, and dimethiconol separately it was discovered that the allergy was a result of interaction between cyclopentasiloxane and tocopheryl acetate.
