Abstract
This article presents a retrospective study conducted at a university hospital in Brazil on right-sided traumatic diaphragmatic hernias (TDH). The study found that most cases of right-sided TDH were caused by blunt trauma, particularly motor vehicle collisions. The liver was the most commonly herniated organ in these cases. The study emphasized the importance of early recognition and surgical intervention for diaphragmatic injuries, as they can be associated with severe injuries and high mortality rates. The study also highlighted the challenges in diagnosing right-sided TDH due to hemodynamic instability upon admission. [Extracted from the article]
