Discusses a case report on a 48-year-old woman with a stage I, high-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of B-cell origin. Use of recombinant interferon in the treatment of hematological malignancies and chronic active viral hepatitis; Normal limits of thyroid hormones and thyroid-stimulating hormone before the initiation of the interferon treatment; Association of de Quervain's thyroiditis with interferon alpha.
