Abstract
The article focuses on the use of antiplatelet agents, prasugrel and clopidogrel, for acute coronary syndrome (ACS) treatment and the differences between women and men in safety and efficacy of those agents. Topics discussed include ACS gender-related differences, antiplatelet agents clinical pharmacology and use in women with ACS, and some important considerations for physicians in primary care.
