Abstract
The article presents a study on the different surgical strategies available for treatment of recurrent gallstone ileus. It presents the case of a 71-year-old man who was admitted with a short history of abdominal pain and vomiting. It states that regardless of the choice of surgical procedure, stone extraction using a laparoscopic technique is of diagnostic as well as therapeutic value.
