Abstract
The article focuses on Smalltown Charity, a nonprofit organization in Virginia that educates people on the benefits of sustainable energy production and its concerns over the new data privacy law passed by the state. Topics include need of exempting 501(c)(3)-exempt organizations from compliance with data privacy; implication of European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the law; and the different Clauses included in the law are also discussed.
