Abstract
The article discusses a school principal support framework developed by faculty at the University of Washington's Center for Educational Leadership, districts and charter management organizations. Noted action areas for supporting principals include a shared vision of principals as instructional leader, a development system for principals, and opportunities for principals to be instructional leaders. The role of superintendents and administrators in supporting principals is also covered.
