Abstract
The article presents a study related to the development of an upstream process for a monoclonal antibody including medium optimization. Topics include use of monoclonal antibodies in cancer and autoimmune diseases, use of perfusion process in the production of monoclonal antibodies in pharmaceutical industry, application of fed batch and perfusion mode in upstream processing batch, employing CHO cell line producing the antibody, and the development of fed batch in shake flask.
