Abstract
The article provides information on American jazz musician Bill Frisell. It says that Frisell was named top guitarist in the 2011 DownBeat Critics Poll, who devotes painstaking research to projects before he starts recording. According to the author, Frisell has trouble keeping track of his numerous bands at times because his lineups overlap frequently. The personal and professional backgrounds of Frisell are also discussed.
