Abstract
In spite of the syndrome also being known as "focal dermal hypoplasia", dermal hypoplasia is not a I sine que non i diagnostic requisite.[11] However, focal dermal hypoplasia occurs in 95% of individuals with the syndrome. Focal dermal hypoplasia, Goltz syndrome, Goltz-Gorlin syndrome It should not be mistaken, however, with the Gorlin-Goltz syndrome (nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome; basal cell nevus syndrome), which was also described by these two authors around the same time.
