Abstract
The article discusses peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) providing insight to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) or Parkinson's disease. Topics include data suggest enhanced PLC2 activity as a potential new therapeutic target for AD with a accessible pharmacodynamic biomarker; and three main intracellular signaling pathways have identified specifically in PBMC subsets from people with AD versus controls.
