Abstract
The concentration of heavy metals in the meat was analysed in seven geographical areas in Romania. The concentrations of heavy metals in the meat was determined with spectrophotometric method. In the present study, the higher heavy metals concentration was found in Mures, Satu-Mare and Salaj areas, while the lower concentration was observed in Brasov and Bistrița-Nasaud areas. The geographical areas considered in this study are the most polluted areas of Romania and have the highest heavy metals concentration in meat. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
