Abstract
Chapter 7 of the book "Medical Care of Cancer Patients" is presented. It discusses the clinical manifestations, the pathophysiology of cancer-related fatigue (CRF) and the symptoms associated with fatigue. It examines CRF assessment tools and elaborates the nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic treatments of CRF. Tables that list selected fatigue assessment tools and the factors contributing to fatigue and the pharmacologic treatment of CRF with Methylphenidate are presented.
