Abstract
The article comments on a study on the safety and efficacy of direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC) versus warfarin and low-dose heparin bridging for thromboembolic prophylaxis after catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia. A summary of thrombotic events between the two patient groups is presented. It reports the clinical benefit of anticoagulation including shorter length of hospital stay post-ablation, reduced bleeding and avoidance of anticoagulation titration compared with warfarin.
